Overview
This Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations is designed for experienced Plant and Vehicle Marshallers who have completed one of the following courses and hold either the Red CPCS card or the Red NPORS card in this category:
- CPCS A73 Plant and Vehicle Marshaller course
- NPORS N133 Plant Machinery Marshal course
To enrol in this qualification, candidates must have at least six months of experience as a Plant/Vehicle Marshal on a real construction site. Successful completion enables candidates to upgrade their Red ‘Trained Operator’ card to the Blue ‘Competent Operator’ card, demonstrating their advanced skills and competency.
Qualification Units
Candidates must complete three units for this qualification:
- Core Unit: Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
- Core Unit: Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
- Category-Specific Unit: Preparing to and Directing and Guiding the Movement of Vehicles, Plant or Machinery in the Workplace
Note: If candidates have previously completed the core units as part of another NVQ in plant operations, they will only need to complete the category-specific unit.
