This 1-day introductory course is designed for individuals new to the construction and civil engineering industries. It provides a comprehensive introduction to health and safety issues on construction sites and explains how these affect your role. It is also an excellent refresher course for those who need to renew their health and safety knowledge after five years.

As part of the Site Safety Plus range, this course equips delegates with the foundational knowledge to contribute to safer and more compliant workplaces.

Teaching and Assessment

  • Continuous assessment throughout the day (you must attend all 7.5 hours as per the Site Safety Plus attendance requirements).

Certification
Upon successfully completing this course, you will receive a CITB Site Safety Plus Certificate, demonstrating your knowledge of health and safety in construction.


In-Company Training
Employers can book this course to train groups of 6–16 employees. The course can be delivered:

Mandatory Entry Requirements

  • A good understanding of spoken and written English is required. Contact us if you have concerns about language proficiency.
  • A valid form of ID, such as a passport or driving licence, must be provided.
  • For weekend courses: Employers must provide health and safety training during company time as per legal requirements. The Health and Safety at Work Act will be covered in the syllabus, which may include discussions about employer obligations.
